Tell the sage the situation you're actually in and it answers with magical counsel that names your moment — the hours ahead that favor it, and what to do in them. Or ask for something new, and it composes a working of your own.

- Describe the situation the way you'd say it out loud. There's no form to fill and no goal to pick from a list — the sage reads what you wrote against the sky you're standing under.
- It answers in hours
- What comes back is windows, not advice: a Friday before dawn, a Saturday mid-morning, each one an hour the sky favors for what you asked — with the working to do in it and the reason it fits.
- Drawn from the library
- The counsel is composed from cecco's own corpus and its own reckoning of the sky, and it cites the workings it names. It tells you what the sources lean toward, never what will happen.
- Or a working of your own
- Ask for something new, like an incense for courage, and the sage composes it from the materia, conjurations and planetary correspondences the library is made of, kept apart from the historical workings. cecco finds the hours to do it in, and with your birth details set, it's fitted to your chart. A new working takes a bought question.
- The one part that needs a connection
- Asking the sage sends your question to be answered; the rest of cecco works without a connection. The answers you keep are saved on the device.

- The stars that breathe are the ones this hour favors: brightness for the relationship that stays, shimmer for the hour that passes. The two are never multiplied into one number.
- Judged by the old tables
- Planetary strength is read from William Lilly's tables of essential dignity and accidental fortitude, with the day-and-night sect of older Hellenistic and Perso-Arabic practice. The numbers are organizing tools, never a measurement of a person.
- It stays on this phone
- Your birth details are kept on the device and read there — even the birthplace search runs on a bundled atlas, so it asks for no location and makes no request. Your birth details never reach a server, and you can remove them at any time.
